Peter joined the wholesale business in 2000 as an all-round employee. He prepares the deliveries and makes deliveries two days a week all over Belgium.
The start-up of the wholesale business
Peter experienced the evolution and the growth of Van Tricht first-hand. He joined the company when orders were still written out by hand in the shop. The transition was fascinating and impressive.
He was always responsible for restaurants. He did not have a specific connection with cheese but he did start to work as a chef after training at catering school. Peter loves the variety of the job. One of the fun aspects of his job is finally getting to meet certain customers face to face. For thirteen years he’d only talked to some of them on the phone. Now that he has recently become responsible for one of the delivery rounds this has changed.
